Preserving Bees, Plants, and a Sustainable Future
Our Story
The Honeybee Preservation Center was established to promote beekeeping and environmental conservation in The Gambia. As deforestation and climate change continue to threaten biodiversity, we take action by preserving important plant species and training the next generation in sustainable practices
We are passionate about empowering local communities—especially school leavers and farmers—by offering knowledge, skills, and job opportunities in agriculture-related fields
Beekeeping is more than a craft—it’s a source of income, a tool for education, and a critical part of environmental conservation. We are proud to be the first of our kind in The Gambia, offering hands-on training, community programs, and valuable information on bee and plant preservatio
Our Goals
- Promote sustainable beekeeping
- Preserve local plant species
- Train youth in agroforestry and aquaculture
- Raise awareness about climate change and biodiversity loss
